Local Business Directory (localbusinessdirectory.in) Effective date: 30 September 2026

The short version

Local Business Directory is a free guide to businesses in Delhi-NCR. You may browse it, use it to find and contact businesses, submit your own business, and leave honest reviews.

We do our best to keep listings accurate, but we are a directory, not the business. We do not sell the services you find here, we do not guarantee anyone's work, and any deal you make is between you and the business. Please read the sections below, especially "Using listings responsibly" and "Limits on our responsibility".

By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

These terms work alongside our Privacy Policy and our Verification & Ranking Policy. Read those too; they explain how we handle your data and what "Verified" means.

Who runs this site

Local Business Directory is owned and operated by Amit Kumar, from Delhi, India. "We", "us" and "our" mean the people who run localbusinessdirectory.in. "You" means anyone who visits or uses the site.

What the site is, and what it is not

The site lists local businesses and services across Delhi-NCR, grouped by category, locality and service, with guides and blog posts to help you choose.

It is an information service. That has three consequences.

We are not the business. When you call, visit or hire a listed business, you deal with that business directly. We do not take part in the transaction, take payment for it, or stand behind the outcome.

We are not an agent or recommender. A listing, a badge, or a position on a page is not advice to hire anyone. Our Verification & Ranking Policy explains exactly what a badge does and does not confirm.

We are not a professional adviser. Guides and blog posts are general information. They are not legal, medical, financial, educational or safety advice. If you need advice on a specific situation, ask a qualified person.

Who may use the site

You may use the site if you are at least 18 and can enter a binding contract under Indian law. If you are younger, a parent or guardian must use the site for you. You must give accurate details in any form you submit, and you must not use the site for anything unlawful.

You do not need an account to browse. Only a small number of administrators have accounts, and those are covered by separate access rules.

Using listings responsibly

Directories work only when people use them sensibly. Please:

Check before you commit. Confirm price, scope, timing and terms with the business before you pay or sign anything, and get important terms in writing. Check credentials yourself. We do not verify licences, insurance, qualifications, safety standards or admission and result claims. That matters most for clinics, schools and coaching centres, movers, contractors, and anything involving children, health, money or your home. Be careful with advance payments. Never pay a large sum to someone you have not met or checked, whatever the listing says. Report problems. If a listing looks wrong, fake or unsafe, tell us through the contact page.

Information on a listing can be out of date. Businesses move, change numbers, and close. If something differs from what you find in person, trust what you find in person, and tell us.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

copy, scrape, or harvest listings, phone numbers or email addresses in bulk, or use them for mass calling, texting or spam send junk, promotional or misleading messages through our contact form use the site to harass, defame, threaten or impersonate anyone submit false, misleading or stolen information, or list a business you have no right to list upload malicious code, probe the site for weaknesses, or try to reach parts of it you are not authorised to use overload the site with automated requests, or try to get around rate limits, security features or our page cache frame the site inside another site, or copy our design and content to make a lookalike directory use the site in a way that breaks any Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000

We may block access, remove content, or report unlawful activity to the authorities if you break these rules.

Submitting a business

You may submit a business through the "Add your business" form. When you do, you confirm that:

you own the business, run it, or are authorised to list it on the owner's behalf; the information you give is accurate and current, including the name, address, locality, phone number and category; you have the right to give us any text or images you submit, and they do not copy anyone else's work or break anyone's rights; and you understand that most of the details you submit will be published.

Approval is ours to give. We review every submission. We may approve it, edit it for accuracy, style or length, ask you for more information, or decline it. Submitting a business does not guarantee it will be listed, verified, or shown in any particular place. We do not charge for a standard listing. If we ever offer paid features, we will label them clearly and you will only pay after you have agreed to a price.

What you allow us to do. You give us a non-exclusive, free right to publish, display, edit for formatting and accuracy, and store what you submit, on this site and in its search feeds, for as long as the listing is live. You keep ownership of your content. You can ask us to remove it at any time.

You are responsible for what you submit. If your listing contains false or unlawful content, you are responsible for it, and we may remove it.

Removal. A request to correct or remove a listing from the business named is actioned without argument. See the Verification & Ranking Policy for how to make it.

Reviews

You may leave a review if you have genuinely dealt with the business. By posting a review you confirm that it is your own honest account, that you are not connected to the business or its competitors, and that you were not paid or rewarded for it.

Reviews are read by a person before they appear. We may reject or remove a review that breaks our review rules, set out in the Verification & Ranking Policy, or that breaks the law. We do not remove a review only because it is negative.

You keep ownership of your review, but you allow us to publish it on the site for as long as the related listing is live. If you want a review of yours changed or deleted, contact us and tell us which one.

Please write about the business, not about private individuals. Do not include anyone's personal contact details. Statements of fact should be true, and opinions should be honestly held. You are responsible for what you write, including any legal claim that arises from it.

Our content and intellectual property

The site's design, structure, code, text, category and area pages, guides, blog posts and logo belong to us or to people who have licensed them to us. You may read them, share links to them, and quote short extracts with a link back, for non-commercial purposes.

You may not copy, republish, sell, or build a competing directory from our content without our written permission. Descriptions we write about listed businesses are original to us. Business names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners, and we show them only to identify the business.

If you believe something on the site infringes your copyright or trademark, write to [contact email address] with the page address, what you own, and why you believe it is infringing. We will look into it promptly.

Links to other websites

Listings and guides link to outside websites, social profiles and maps. We do not control those sites, and we are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement. If you use an outside site, its own terms apply.

Availability and changes to the site

We aim to keep the site running, but we do not promise it will always be available, error-free, or free of interruptions. We may change, pause or stop any part of it, including categories, areas, features and the site itself, at any time, and may do so without notice for maintenance or security. Nothing on the site is guaranteed to stay live.

Limits on our responsibility

We provide the site "as is". We work to keep information accurate, but we do not promise that listings, ratings, opening hours, prices or descriptions are complete, correct or up to date.

To the fullest extent the law allows:

we are not responsible for the actions, work, prices, quality, conduct or failures of any listed business or reviewer; we are not responsible for any loss, damage or dispute arising from a deal you make with a listed business, or from relying on a listing, badge, rating, review or guide; and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, business or data, arising from your use of the site.

Where we are found liable to you despite these terms, our total liability is limited to INR [amount, for example 1,000], because the site is free to use.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by our own negligence, or takes away any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

Indemnity

If you submit content or use the site in a way that breaks these terms or the law, and that causes a claim, loss or cost to us, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it. This applies to what you do, not to anything you could not reasonably have known.

Privacy

How we collect and use personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy. Using the site means you have read it.

Suspending or ending access

We may suspend or end your access to the site, or remove content you submitted, if you break these terms, if we must do so to comply with the law, or to protect the site and other people. You may stop using the site at any time. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as those on intellectual property, limits on responsibility and governing law, remain in force afterwards.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the site or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. For material changes we will put a notice on the homepage for at least 30 days. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts in Delhi have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, subject to any right you have as a consumer to go to another forum under Indian law.
