If you've searched for a local service in India recently, you've probably hit the same wall: directory results padded with businesses that closed years ago, wrong phone numbers, and shops that never existed at that address. Local Business Directory exists to fix that, one city at a time.

The problem with most local search

Search "bird control service Uttam Nagar" or "vastu consultant Dwarka" on most directories and you'll get a pile of results — half of them duplicates, several outdated, a few that were never real businesses to begin with. That's what happens when listings come from a scrape instead of a person checking.

How we do it differently

Every listing here starts as a draft, researched by hand before it goes live. We look at what's thin in a given locality, find businesses actually operating there, and confirm contact details, service area, and category before anything publishes. A locality doesn't get its own page until it has real, checked listings in it — no empty placeholder pages waiting to be filled.

Where we cover, right now

We started in Delhi NCR — Rohini first, then outward — because that's where we could verify listings ourselves instead of importing a database and hoping it holds up. The plan is to cover India the same way, city by city, not everywhere at once with unverified data.

Home services, repairs, health and wellness, local shops — the kind of everyday businesses that rarely show up well in a general search. Each one sits on a page built for its specific city and locality, so you're not wading through results for a different part of town.

No sign-up, no clutter

You don't need an account to search or browse. Every page loads fast and works on a phone first, since that's how most people search for something nearby.

Who's behind it

Local Business Directory is built and run by Amit Kumar, a Delhi-based company. The directory grew out of that work — seeing how often real local businesses were invisible online — and it's still being verified and expanded one city at a time.
